Broken bottle and a battle

Google gets Photo Credit

She sits and waits
Religiously watching time
the second hand ticks
minute by minute
She anxiously awaits
Emeka- her darling husband

It is almost midnight
But the gate doesn’t creak
the horn doesn’t sound
And the door doesn’t open
The meal she has prepared
has turned stone cold
As cold as the night air feels

She decides to go to bed
As she enters,
The gate creaks
The horn sounds
The door opens
And in comes Emeka
With a bottle and a Battle

Her head bleeds
As an aftermath
Of her confrontation
With Emeka

Yesterday it was broken bottles
Tomorrow it may be a war
Chika is set to leave her husband
And you condemn her?

Such a powerful post… I’d commend Chika for escaping from that marriage made in HELL.

Thanks CommonsenseTom for the comment. I agree with you on commending Chika. Marriage isn’t meant to be Hell. Thanks once again for your comments
